Terms of service
Last changed September 17, 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and the people who run etta. Read them before you make an account. When you make an account or use etta, you accept them.
What etta is
etta is an AI private chef for households. You tell etta who eats at your table and what they cannot eat. etta plans a week of meals, writes the grocery list, and, where a store is connected, fills a cart.
An AI model reads your words and chooses the meals. AI makes mistakes. etta checks every meal against the rules you gave, but a check is not a promise.
Food, allergies, and your health
You are responsible for the food you buy, cook, and serve. etta plans from what you tell it. etta cannot see your kitchen, the labels in your store, or what a product contains today.
Before you buy or serve any food, read the label. Ingredients and recipes change. A store can substitute a product. A meal that fits your rules on the page can still contain an ingredient you must avoid.
etta is not a doctor, a dietitian, or a medical service. Nothing etta writes is medical advice. If you or someone at your table has an allergy, an intolerance, a medical condition, or a diet a professional prescribed, follow that professional, not etta.
To the fullest extent the law allows, the people who run etta are not responsible for illness, allergic reactions, injury, or any other harm that comes from food you chose, bought, cooked, or served, whether or not etta suggested it.
Your account
You must be 18 or older to make an account. One account plans for one household.
Keep your sign-in method to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us at once if someone else uses it.
The trial, the price, and cancellation
Your first fourteen days are free. After that etta costs $24.99 a month, billed through the App Store or Google Play under their rules.
Cancel any time in the app or through the store. A cancellation stops the next charge. It does not refund the current month unless the store says so.
Prices can change. We tell you before a change reaches your account.
Referrals
When a friend joins with your code, your friend gets a month free. You get a month free after your friend has a first week planned.
We can change or stop the referral offer at any time. A month already given stays.
What you tell etta
Everything you tell etta about your household stays yours. You give us permission to use it to plan for you, to remember what you said, and to make etta better. The privacy policy has the details.
What you must not do
Do not use etta to harm anyone, to break a law, to copy the service, or to overload it. Do not make an account for someone else without their permission.
We can close an account that breaks these rules.
Availability
etta is offered as it is. Stores, AI models, and networks change. We do not promise that etta is always available or always right.
We can change or end a feature. When a change matters to you, we tell you.
Limits on responsibility
To the fullest extent the law allows, our total responsibility to you for anything that comes from your use of etta is limited to the amount you paid etta in the twelve months before the claim. We are not responsible for indirect or unexpected losses.
Some places do not allow these limits. Where the law gives you rights that these terms cannot remove, you keep them.
Ending the agreement
You can delete your account at any time in the app. We can end the agreement if you break these terms.
The sections on food and your health, on what you tell etta, and on limits on responsibility stay in force after the agreement ends.
Changes, law, and questions
We can change these terms. When a change matters, we show it in the app or on the site before it takes effect. The date at the top says when the terms last changed.
The laws of the State of Utah govern these terms.
Questions about these terms go to the contact address shown in the app.
